Inn to Inn Nova Scotia

If you enjoy days with easy walking and ample time to relax and explore the towns you're staying in, then this self-guided tour is for you. Whether you want to visit a museum, join a wine tour, or relax at an outdoor patio, you'll have a lot of flexibility to make this into the adventure you want it to be. For the most part, the walks on this tour are on railway routes that have been converted into trails, but we also include some options that take you through some Nova Scotia forests. We have a feeling you'll also be putting many more steps in strolling through the quaint towns where you'll be resting your head! You spend 2 nights in each town, allowing you to see all you need to see.

On the South Shore you'll stay in Lunenburg, which is filled with history and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. If the Bluenose II is in port, you may be able to see this replica of the undefeated racing schooner. Or perhaps you'll decide to visit the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic or view some of the historic architecture throughout the town.

In Wolfville, you'll be staying beside the Bay of Fundy, where you can watch the changes of the highest tides in the world and see the mud flats in the harbour. On your walks, you'll see the vast Landscape of Grand Pre (another UNESCO Heritage Site) with the cliffs of Blomidon in the background. With your flexible schedule, you may choose to learn about the Acadians at the Grand Pre National Historical Site or hop on a wine tour for an afternoon.

So put on your walking shoes and get ready for an active yet relaxing holiday in Nova Scotia!
